The channel assignment only works if the FZ433 is plugged into the 230V socket. To do this, press and hold the SET/MODE and RND keys simultaneously while also pressing the ON key of a channel (e.g. CH 1 ON) on the remote control. The remote receiver indicator will light to indicate that the timer has automatically "learned" the assigned channel.
