Replacing the overheating protection (item no. 0119017):
The replacement may only be carried out by the manufacturer or a qualified electrician.
Danger:
- Improper replacement can impair the function of the overheating protection.
Risk of fire in the event of overload.
- Risk of electric shock if not carried out properly.
Caution:
- Do not apply mechanical stress to the overheating protection on the cover cap, as this may impair its
function. Do not use overheating protection elements with visually
damaged cover caps.
- Do not exceed the power ratings specified on the type plate of the cable reel used
when the cable is wound up or unwound.
1. Unplug the power cord / disconnect the cable reel from the power supply.
2. Unscrew the socket plate (3 screws).
3. Unscrew / loosen the two strands on the overheating protection.
4. Remove the defective overheating protection:
Break/leverage the overheating protection out of the red sleeve that is locked into the
socket plate, e.g., with a screwdriver.
This will inevitably destroy the overheating protection.
5. Push the old sleeve from the inside out and remove it.
6. Insert the new sleeve into the socket plate (for IP 44,
the protective cap supplied must also be fitted).
7. Press the overheating protection into the sleeve. When doing so, make sure
that the small tab on the outside of the push button is inserted into the groove of the sleeve
.
8. Now press the overheating protection firmly into the sleeve until you feel
the two parts click into place.
9. Screw on the two strands and reattach the socket plate with the three
screws.
The manufacturer only accepts product liability for products in which the overheating protection element has been replaced by the manufacturer.
