The notice in the user manual is intended to optimally calibrate the battery during the first use. You can easily do this as follows:
- Turn on the light after unpacking and use it in normal operation.
- Keep the light turned on until it turns off by itself due to the discharged battery or no longer lights up.
- Then fully charge the light with the supplied charging cable until the charging process is complete.
It is not necessary to artificially discharge the battery or take any special measures. Normal use until full discharge is sufficient.
For modern lithium-ion batteries, regular full discharging during later use is not required. The notice only applies to the initial startup.
