There can be various reasons for this. We have listed the most common ones for you here:
- Material fatigue due to age and frequent use.
- Switching of very high inductive loads (motors, relays, coils, electromagnets, etc.).
- High inrush currents from power supply units (e.g. computers, laptops). Blowing the fuse is also a common phenomenon here. To solve the problem, we recommend using an inrush current limiter in the form of an adapter. You can plug this into the wall socket and then plug your power strip into it. This reduces high inrush currents to a healthy level.
